“The Meg 2: The Trench” with new horrifying battles with Underwater Megalodon
The exciting science-fiction shark sequel, ‘The Meg 2: The Trench’ is all its way filming filled with captivating illustrations and enthralling visuals. The first part, Warner Bros’ ‘The Meg’ is always on the board of creative films though it received mixed response. Still, the phenomenal acting with fabulous visual effects made it a binge worthy.
Moreover, it kept thrill on high which marks its success and demand. In addition, the second part is expected to release by summer of 2023. Moreover, Steve Alten’s 1997 book ‘Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror’ inspired the whole idea of its production starting from storyline to background settings. The story totally focusses on a 2 million years before extinct shark species ‘Megalodon’.
Storyline
The plot revolves around the battle between Megalodon and Jonas Taylor, rescue diver. It’s the sequel of 2018’s ‘The Meg’ which continues the tangled the story. The first part ended with hint of love in the hearts Jonas and Suyin. Yet, it couldn’t get into commitment stage as protagonist realized he isn’t ready for it.
On one hand, the happy scene of Taylor, Suyin and her daughter Meiying marked a happy end. On the other side, the climax echoed with sounds of other Megalodons in the sea. This suggested it’s not the end.
Furthermore, the second is believed to start with a new chapter in lives of leads. The relationship between Jonas and Suyin will evolve into new leaf. Side by side, Meg’s attacks will take its hype. Director Ben Wheatley also confirmed to make the movie on at least two Shark species rather than one. However, the actual plot is still under wraps.
Incredible Cast of ‘The Meg 2’
The sci-fi horror action movie is packed with many acclaimed casts included ‘Fast and Furious’ credited Jason Statham portrays Jonas Taylor, Li Bingbing of ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ as Suyin, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Rainn Wilson plays Jack Morris, ‘Batwomen’s Ruby Rose as Jaxx, Sienna Guillory, Skyler Samuels OF ‘The Gifted’ and many more.
Gravity Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures with collaboration will produce ‘The Meg 2: The Trench’. In addition, Jon and Erich Hoebe penned down the script. Along with, Ben Wheatley will serve as director.
