The upcoming series trailer finally added description after a lot of pressure
Netflix recently added a disclaimer to the description of its upcoming royal series The Crown. The previously released four trailers hadn’t had any description.
In the YouTube description for The Crown Season trailer, Netflix says that its frictional drama is inspired by real events and reveals the story of Queen Elizabeth II and the personal or political events that faced her which eventually shaped her reign. None of the previous trailers had such a description of the season.
Netflix refusal made Dench slams cases against it
The previous week, Dame Judi Dench slammed a case of crude sensationalism against Netflix after the OTT platform refused to put a description on it. The explanation was put up by the OTT platform only after a lot of pressure.
British acting star Judi Dench on Wednesday slammed the upcoming season of The Crown through an open letter and calling its plotlines cruelly unjust every episode of the series should state that it is a work of friction because this is creating a wrong viewpoint in the audience that every event shown in the series is historically true.
Controversies
After Drench, another criticism was followed by UK former Prime Minister John Major. As per UK former UK Prime Minister, the series creates a lot of misconception which includes a scene where it showcases that in one of his conversations with the late king Charles, he tried to urge him to abdicate the throne in the 1990s.
The Crown, which is one of the most watched series of the year had high expectations for season 5 as well but since Queen Elizabeth II‘s death, it is facing a challenging ride.
The Plotline of the Season 5
The Crown revolves around the royal family with Season 5 especially based on the departure of Margaret Thatcher and the breaking point of the relationship between Diana and Price Charles.
Let’s see whether this season will outshine the high expectation from the audience or not.
