Batman is one of the most loved comic book characters of all time. And whenever this role is played in a movie, the fans have high expectations from the cast. Christopher Nolan’s trilogy has set a benchmark for the Batman movies.
Now, director Matt Reeves is coming up with a new Batman movie. This will be a reboot of Batman’s story. He is renowned for his work in The Planet of Apes movie series. The release date of the movie is initially 25 June 2021, although the shooting has started.
Is Robert Pattinson as Batman correct decision?
Robert Pattinson is playing the role of Bruce Wayne or Batman in the movie. Although many people do not agree with it. According to rumors, Pattinson is too skinny for the role. As per reports, the 33-years-old actor stands 6’1″ and weighs only 165 pounds.
On the contrary, Christian Bale may have the same height, but he had a heavier muscular body. If we talk about Ben Affleck, he stands 6’4″ tall and weighs 225 pounds. Robert is no comparison when it comes to Ben Affleck.
Recently, Pattinson was spotted in London on a Motorcycle as Bruce Wayne. Although no Bat-suit has been revealed yet, as reported, Gotham City will be set in Glasgow, Scotland. Maybe by the end of February, we could see his bat-suit or Batmobile.
Other casts in the movie
More cast members include Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. And Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Jeffrey Wright will play the role of Commissioner Gordon.
We have some names for the negative roles also. Paul Dano will portray the role of Riddler. And John Turturro will become Carmine Falcone. Colin Farrell will be seen as Penguin. Jayme Lawson will play Bella.
Peter Sarsgaard is also cast for the movie, although his role is not revealed yet. As per rumors, he could play the role of Two-Face.
