Killing Eve is a British spy thriller and dark comedy television series based on the Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings. For its first season, Killing Eve had Fleabag‘s Pheobe Waller-Bridge as the showrunner and for the second season, it had Emerald Fennell as its showrunner. Every season of the show has a different female showrunner. For season three it will be Suzanne Heathcote.
What about season 3?
The series garnered huge success both in the UK and the US, gaining praise for the actors’ performances and the show’s writing. The award-winning show has left fans trembling for answers after the second season’s cliffhanger.

For fans of Killing Eve in the UK, it is one big issue for waiting for the airing of its episodes. Since BBC doesn’t air the show traditionally and instead releases it wholly on iPlayer as a complete box set. This means that the UK fans will only be able to watch the new season after several weeks of the airing of the last episode in the US. Killing Eve has over 40 million viewing requests, the most on the iPlayer platform with Line of Duty coming at second with 13 million requests.
Who will be starring?
It is obvious that Sandra Oh will come back as officer Eve Polastri and Jodie Comer will be back as Villanelle. Fiona Shaw as MI6 agent Carolyn Martens may come back as there is one big plotline that needs to be resolved. Sean Delaney and Nina Sosanya may also return. Pheobe Waller-Bridge also wants to write herself in the third season so that she can be killed by Villanelle. New faces like Dame Harriet Walter and Danny Sapani will play unnamed roles in the new season.
