“Orange Is the New Black” Will Not be Coming Back for Season 8.

Netflix’s one of the first-ever original series Orange Is the New Black will not be returning for its eighth season. The series which was created by Jenji Kohan is based on the 2010 memoir Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison by Piper Kerman. The first season was released on Netflix in July of 2013 and it made the streaming platform into a significant and eminent television producer. The series’ latest season was released on 26th July 2019.

Taylor Schilling plays the role of the lead Piper Chapman in Orange Is the New Black. She is arrested after being convicted of smuggling drugs internationally. Apart from Schilling, Orange Is the New Black stars Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Kate Mulgrew, Taryn Manning, Laura Prepon, and many other stars. Uzo Aduba has also won a Primetime Emmy Award in the year 2015 for her role in season two of the series.

Netflix had previously announced in October of 2018 that season seven will be the last in Orange Is the New Black. It was declared four months after the release of season six.
