This may come as a surprise for some of us, but Sylvester Stallone had guest appearances in some classic television shows in the ’70s, such as Police Story and Kojak. He was last seen in ABC’s This Is Us. Meanwhile, Sheridan is best known for shows like Mayor of Kingstown, 1883, and Yellowstone, and Winter is the creator of Boardwalk Empire and was a writer in The Sopranos.

101 Studios, who had bankrolled Sheridan’s other shows will be producing Kansas City as well, along with MTV Entertainment Studios. Aside from Sheridan, Winter, and Stallone under his company Balboa Productions, the series will be executive produced by Braden Aftergood (Nobody), David C. Glasser (Mayor of Kingstown), Ron Burkle (Una) and Bob Yari of 101 Studios.

The story follows an Italian mobster from New York City named Sal (Stallone), who is forced to relocate to Kansas City, Missouri. He is now left with the heavy task of re-establishing his Italian mafia family in the modern, and forthright town of Kansas City. However, the path to achieving that will not be smooth, as Sal faces numerous encounters on his way to rise up to power in this new environment.

Sylvester Stallone remains to be one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and will be next seen in The Expendables 4, which is going to be Sylvester Stallone’s last film in the franchise. The actor had announced on Instagram saying he will be handing over the reigns to co-star Jason Statham. Meanwhile, he will also be seen in the superhero film Samaritan and Guardians of the Galaxy 3, which is set for a 2023 release.
