Spirited Trailer Is Out, Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell Brings Holiday Cheer

Get ready for this musical retelling of ‘A Christmas Carol’

At long last, Apple has released the full trailer of their upcoming holiday musical Spirited. The movie stars Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds, along with Octavia Spencer, in the lead roles. The movie is the retelling of a classic holiday tale, but with a modern twist.

About Spirited

Apple TV+

Spirited is inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic story, A Christmas Carol. The book has been adapted into movies and animation in the past, but this one will be the first reinvention. Ferrell stars as the Ghost of Christmas Present, who decides to go with a wealthy, but miserable corporate executive named Clint Briggs (Reynolds) as his latest venture. But the twist comes when Briggs decides to take the Ghost on a spiritual journey and revisit his past, present, and finally, future. The duo gets spirited away on a journey of self-discovery that is filled with funny accidents, singing, dancing, and even a prospective chance of love for the Ghost, who finds himself interested in Briggs’ co-worker, played by Spencer.

The movie is Ferrell’s big return to the holiday genre after 2003’s hit Elf. The actor said that he had no interest in revisiting the role and even turned down a $29 million offer for the sequel.
