Sherlock Holmes 3 is expected to hit the screen by December 2020. Both Robert Downey and Jude Law are returning to continue as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, in the upcoming movie. The movie wouldn’t have been the same without the duo return.

Guy Ritchie is not returning to direct the third movie, whereas the first two originals were directed by him. When he was asked about the movie, what he said was that he didn’t have much idea about what is going on. The third Sherlock Holmes movie is going to be directed by Dexter Fletcher. He has been hired by Warner Bros and Team Downey to direct the third movie.

The first two movies of Sherlock Holmes were released in December holidays, and both the films made a big collection of over $500 million. If the release happens in December 2021, it is sure that it will have to face stiff competition from Avatar 2, Hotel Transylvania 4, and the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked. But, since Robert Downey, Jr.is starring, the film will not have much trouble to stand out in the crowd.

The third Sherlock Holmes movie is supposed to take place in San Francisco. The third movie has been in development since 2011, and many writers have been visiting Warner Bros since then to tamper with the script. The movie is known as Sherlock Holmes 3 as of now. But a new title can be expected soon.
