Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have turned up the heat by officially announcing their relationship. They may have started their relationship as good friends but now are one of the most talked-about and loved couples of the pop music world.
Recently, during a fan Q&A in Australia, Shawn revealed the exact date his friendship with Camila turned into a romantic relationship. He said, “We haven’t been dating that long. We’ve been dating since July 4th officially.” This means the couple left the friend zone a few weeks later the release of their hit collaboration ‘Senorita’ on 21st June.

Their relationship has not been without controversies as they were accused of ‘faking their relationship’ as a publicity stunt for their collaboration. However, both Shawn and Camila made it clear with their comments and acts that they are very much genuine, and their love is not a mere PR stunt. Camila proved that she would not sit back and let people trash her and Shawn’s relationship when she blocked and unfollowed negative tweets accusing her of faking her romance.
After going public with their relationship, the couple was criticized for the way they kiss, with some fans telling them they kiss “like fish.” So to shut down the comments, they shared a hilarious video on Shawn’s Instagram showing the entire world proof of exactly how they kiss each other but later deleted the same.

Later on, 21st October, Shawn deleted the video of him and Camila kissing, giving fumes to breakup rumors. This time Camila took to her Instagram story to address a headline that said, “Proof Shawn and Camila are Broken Up.” She posted a screenshot of the headline and jokingly wrote tagging Shawn that when was he going to tell her about their breakup. Soon after, Mendes posted a loved up pic with her captioning it with a heart emoji, firmly putting those rumors to bed.
Through all such differences, Shawmila has been giving people some loved up couple goals. Currently, Mendes is in Australia for the Oceania leg of his self-titled world tour, while Camila headed to the U.K> to perform her new single “Liar” on The Graham Norton Show.
