Selena Gomez opens up about her “Scariest moments” and talked about her mother taught her to face them when she was younger!!

Nearly a year after entering a treatment facility for issues related to anxiety and depression, the Come and Get It singer has opened up about her progress. While being honored with the 2019 McLean Award at the hospital’s annual dinner earlier this month, the 27-year-old pop star reflected on how she got through a challenging period of her life. She recalled the ‘scariest moment’ of her life.

Selena thinks that we are better when we tell the truth and, so, this is her truth. Last year, she was suffering mentally and emotionally, and she wasn’t able to stay all that kept together. She wasn’t able to hold a smile or to keep things looking normal, it felt like all of her pain and anxiety washed over her all at once, and it was one of the scariest moments of her life.

After seeking help and getting a clear diagnosis, Gomez said she felt equal parts of terrified and relieved. She was terrified, because the veil was lifted, but relieved that she finally had the knowledge of why she suffered for so many years with depression and anxiety. She never had full answers or anything about this condition, so she began to face it head-on. Her mother taught her to face her fears and challenges when she was younger.”

Selena handled her issues smartly by educating herself, consulting some of the greatest doctors and psychiatrists. She became really passionate about her mental health. Selena talked and discussed with others who were struggling with the same problem. She knows that it has not all gone away, after a year of a lot of intense work, she is happier and healthier.

Going forward, Selena said that she wants to use her experience to help others. she said, “I know that I have been given experiences and people and opportunities that have made my life exceptionally beautiful and sweet, and yet I struggle with my own thoughts and feelings at times. But this doesn’t make me faulty,” she shared in the hospital’s release.
