“Riverdale” is Renewed for Season 5. Archie and the Gang are Back!

The mysteries of Riverdale will become even more mystifying and dark as the teen drama is set to return with its fifth season. CW officially confirmed the release of Riverdale season five. The show is expected to premiere around the end of 2020. Fans will be able to see the whole gang, Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead graduate from Riverdale High School.

When is it going to air?

On January 7th, The CW announced the renewals of thirteen of its shows, which also included Riverdale. The news of the renewals did not show the release date of the season. However, it is expected that the show will follow the same pattern and will air in the later months of the year, possibly October or November.

The fourth season of the series is filled with flash-forwards which are a couple of months ahead of the present storyline. The plotline indicates that Jughead is dead and was killed by someone. They also suggest that Betty was the one who killed Jughead with a rock. The show has not completely disclosed what actually happened but fans are worried about the fate of their beloved Jughead.

Season five will take place when all the lead characters have graduated from high school since season four was about their senior year. People are uncertain about the plotlines that will follow Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead when Betty and Veronica will possibly be out of Riverdale for college.
