Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry and Duke of Cambridge, Prince William have come up in support of former Welsh rugby captain, Gareth Thomas, praising him for breaking the stigma attached to HIV after Thomas revealed himself being HIV positive.
This Saturday, Gareth Thomas took to Twitter to announce that he has been diagnosed with AIDS. Thomas posted a video on Twitter in which he disclosed that he was HIV positive and further explained that blackmailers had been threatening him to reveal his diagnosis.
In the video, Thomas said that he chooses to fight in order to educate and break the stigma around the subject. And with the video, he begins it.
Soon, Prince Harry took to Instagram to show his support for Thomas. He posted a picture of Thomas through the official Duke and Duchess of Sussex Instagram handle. Harry praised Thomas for his step, describing him as “an absolute legend.”
Price Harry captioned his post on Instagram explaining that he was sharing Thomas’s story of being HIV+ because he was saving lives and shattering stigma, by showing that he can be strong and resilient while living with HIV.

On the other hand, Prince William took to Twitter to praise Thomas. William posted a tweet through the official Kensington Palace Twitter handle. And William wrote that we should all are appalled by the way Thomas was forced to speak his truth. William stated that it must have been Thomas’s personal choice to come out with something so serious in front of millions of people.
