Congratulations to new parents, Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell and boyfriend Matte Babel. The couple is blessed with a baby girl. Mitchell announced the arrival of their little guest through an Instagram post on Sunday, 20th of October.
The 32-year-old Canadian actress posted a picture of her baby girl’s fingers wrapped around her index finger. She captioned the picture, “Never letting go…”. Also in the post’s comment section Chloe Flower showed her excitement, referring to herself as auntie Chloe, commented that she cannot wait to give the baby piano lessons and buy new clothes.
Shay Mitchell had announced about her pregnancy this year on the 29th day of June, again through an Instagram post. Mitchell had posted a topless picture of herself that showcased her growing baby bump. She jokingly captioned the picture, “Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the carpool lane at all times now?”
Mitchell announced about her pregnancy just five months after revealing about a miscarriage that she had at five months. Talking about the miscarriage the actress had stated that everyone has to deal with various struggles and challenges in life. Calling the miscarriage as the loss of a child of her hopes and dreams, Mitchell thanked her fans for their support and affection that lifted her even during the darkest of her days.
Since the reveal, Mitchell has been sharing moments from her pregnancy journey not only through social media posts but also her YouTube series named Almost Ready. She had shared her gender reveal party on the series, where she had pink and blue Power Rangers duke it out in the ultimate fight. Of course, the pink ranger won.
Mitchell has also shared a discussion (or argument) between her and Babel where they talked whether Mitchell should have an epidural during childbirth and breastfeed their newborn.
