Bruce Lee was a Hong Kong American actor, director, and martial artist. He is one of the most influential martial artists of all time. He has developed a bridge between East and West. He began his Martial arts career in 1959. Lee is well known for presenting Asians in a different way in American films.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is an American basketball player. Kareem has won several basketball games, in his career. He has established himself as one of the top players of his time. Kareem ha tried his hand in acting as well. He made his debut in Bruce Lee’s film.

Recently a Hollywood director, Quentin Tarantino has been accused by him. Kareem claims that in contrast to Lee’s character, Quentin has portrayed Lee in a sloppy and racist way in the film. It is the filmmaker’s responsibility to show the character in the correct way. The director should keep track of the truth, as well.
 In making a film, usually, a disbalance is seen. Facts are represented in a different way. In the case of fictional movies, it does not make a difference, but when a movie is based on a real-life incident or does make a difference. In Tarantino’s reference, Kareem said that he is a great director. He is bold, uncompromising, and unpredictable.
What affected him( Kareem)  was the way in which Lee has been presented in the movie. The controversy arose, when Lee’s daughter said in an interview that in the movie, her father had been presented in an incorrect way. Lee has been represented as an arrogant man who discriminates on the basis of color.
Lee and Kareem were very good friends. Anything which has been portrayed in the wrong way is not acceptable. Bruce Lee was a legend. He should be remembered and given respect. Tarantino has always been admired by Kareem and other fans. This behavior of his has disappointed many.
