Norman Reedus gets ‘The Walking Dead’ Showrunner’s Support in Being the MCU’s Ghost Rider

Phase 4 is full of surprises as it is

Marvel Studios is perhaps the biggest production company in the present era, and stars have started wanting to take a piece of it. With Phase 4, the universe has just become a whole lot bigger, with new characters being introduced and wonderful new stories being told. Even Keanu Reeves wants some of the action, and said that he had met Marvel President Kevin Feige to find a suitable role for him.

But there has been one man who has been a favourite for fan casters over the past five years. Read on.

The MCU’s Ghost Rider

One of the characters that fans badly want to see is Ghost Rider. While many characters had taken on the mantle of the hellish superhero, the first person, Johnny Blaze, still stands with the most number of fans. Nicholas Cage portrayed the character in two movies, but they were disasters, and fans wanted the character to be recast and set in the MCU. The star they all campaigned for is The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus.

The latest person to join the fan train is The Walking Dead‘s showrunner Angela Kang. Kang tweeted on Monday, saying Norman Reedus as Ghost Rider “would be rad.” Countless fan art and Norman Reedus’ own appearance and wardrobe choice, and not to forget, love for motorcycles further solidified it.

Finally, Reedus himself spoke about it. During Saturday’s The Walking Dead Comic-Con panel, the actor said that he wants to play Ghost Rider. “I want a fire skull. I want my face to turn into a fire skull and whip a chain around,” Reedus added. “That would be great.”

This added fuel to the rumour that Marvel Studios is currently finalizing a deal with an actor who isn’t Keanu Reeves. Will the Rider blaze his way to the MCU? Only time will tell.
