The American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey is welcoming the biggest theme park in North America – Nickelodeon Universe. At 8.5 acres, it beats out Disneyworld and Universal Studios and may turn out to be just as popular.
Opening on 25th October, all the tickets for the first day have sold out completely. But fear not, you can still book tickets for Nickelodeon Universe all days of the week. It will be open from 10 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sundays. The prices start at $39.99 for one person and children under 2-years-old don’t have to buy a pass.
The theme park will have all your favorite characters from SpongeBob SquarePants to Dora the Explorer. And with more than 35 rides, attractions and rollercoasters, look no further for your next fun day out than Nickelodeon Universe. If you are an adrenaline junkie, you will especially like the Shellraiser rollercoaster that has a 122-foot drop. And what is Nickelodeon without some slime? The theme park has incorporated a Slime Stage as part of its attractions.
Nickelodeon Universe will be part of the American Dream mega-mall, a giant space that will include the theme park, indoor ice rink, and ski park, a Sea Life aquarium and a DreamWorks water park, Legoland Discovery Center, a 90-meter tall observation tower, and lots and lots of shops. Expect a variety of brands from Luxury ones like Hermes to fast-fashion companies like Zara and H&M.
For commuters from Manhattan, there will even be a ferry option offered by NY Waterway. But if you prefer something a bit faster and are willing to drop the cash, you can even rent a helicopter to reach the mall.
All in all, the Nickelodeon Universe is turning out to be the theme park of our childhood dreams.
