What is happening with Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home?
Spider-Man: No Way Home has released a brand-new poster, and shows the different Green Goblin look that we got a glimpse of in the second trailer.
Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and MJ take centre stage this time, with Electro, Lizard, and some sand dunes indicating the Sandman are in the back. Of course, Goblin and Doc Ock’s tentacles are also in the frame.
Which Goblin is this?
When the trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home came out, many speculated that perhaps Willem Dafoe’s Norman Osborn isn’t the only Green Goblin, but his son Harry Osborn is in the movie as well. After all, the black hooded costume (most likely due to the dark) and the goggles were similar to the one James Franco wore in the third Sam Raimi film.
But after seeing the new poster, it seems that Goblin will change costumes after first appearing in his classic 2002 look. Almost all the Spider-Man villains are genius scientists, and in the trailer we can see Dr. Octopus’s tentacles transforming after absorbing Spidey’s nanotech armor. It won’t be a reach to guess Osborn making himself something new.
Additional characters
The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer 2 also confirmed the news that Jamie Foxx will return as a cooler, more comic-accurate Electro, and Rhys Ifans will return as a more dinosaur-looking Lizard. Sony and Marvel still hasn’t shown if Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men will return, but many trailer breakdowns suggested that they will arrive. There’s even a theory that Andrew will be the one saving MJ when she falls off the rafter.
Spider-Man: No Way Home hits UK cinemas on December 15, and US theatres on December 17.
