A new scandal was hit to an exciting reality show “Survivor” this Wednesday. The contestants accused each other of sexual misconduct. Read on to know more about the scandal.
Kellee accused Dan of sexual misconduct
In the very recent episode of the CBS reality program, a contestant Kellee Kim accused her fellow contestant and Hollywood agent Dan for being too touchy and violating her personal space, even after making multiple requests for him to stop.
A nervous Kellee felt comfortable when, other two contestants Missy Byrd and Elizabeth Beisel also exposed that, they both have experienced the same sexual violence as Kelle with Dan. They all together discussed inappropriate behavior.
But soon they changed their statement, and they both admitted that they exaggerated their reactions to Dan’s inappropriate touching to make him a target and get him voted off the island. Also, the truth was exposed that, only Missy forced Elizabeth to lie about Dan. She pushed to say that you are getting uncomfortable from Dan even when you are not.
And Missy continued saying to Elizabeth, “My job is to do whatever it takes to get on the right side of the numbers.”. Later Elizabeth added, “Honestly, I’ve felt safe this entire time, and if I had felt uncomfortable, I would have said, ‘Please stop.'”
Fans are not happy with fake allegations created in the show to win
Though Dan didn’t reply to any of the controversies initially, he apologized for his behavior. Also, the discussion got the show trending on Twitter just after the episode’s ends. And viewers weighed in on the allegations of misconduct, including some piling on Elizabeth and Missy used them strategically to try and gain trust from Kim before voting her out of the game.
Many fans were not happy to see such a severe issue used as leverage and strategy for a game.
As a long time Survivor fan I am really disappointed in how this episode was handled. Dan should have been pulled out and Missy and Liz should be ashamed of them selves. Janet stood up with integrity and deserves to be acknowledged. #survivor2019
