Fans are still hoping for a new season for the popular Netflix series just after the release of its second season. The second left fans wanting for more by ending on a cliffhanger. Hopefully, it will be addressed in the third season. As of now, Netflix has not confirmed the show to be renewed for a third season.

What will happen in season 3?

Since the streaming service doesn’t straight up reveals the future of its show but waits a couple of months to make it official. News about the new season may be available to fans this month.

Eric Newman, the showrunner of the series, is excited about how the series plays out in the future even though Netflix hasn’t confirmed anything yet. He revealed to Hollywood Reporter that if given the chance he would continue the storyline to present-day Mexico. He said that he will do it as long as they (Netflix) let him do it. Newman also said in another interview that he would like to take it as long as it takes and as long the drug war rages, which might continue for good.

Newman also said that he has some vague ideas about the new seasons and the future of the series. He has always thought about the end of the series but it is something which is being discussed among themselves.

When is season 3 coming?

Netflix has released the two seasons of Narcos Mexico with a gap of thirteen months in between. So the fans may have to wait somewhere around that time for a new season. The first season premiered in November 2018 and the second in February 2020. The third season will only come around the year 2021.
