In season 1, we got to see the duo embark on a trip across their home country of Scotland, and had them exploring famous historical sights, learning folk dances, to tasting whiskey. They travelled along in a camper van, stopping to explore, taste local delicacies, wrangling sheep, hanging on from dangerous cliffs, and partaking in national sports. One of the most memorable locations they went to was the Culloden battlefield site, and also discovering the true legacy of the characters they play in Outlander.

Men in Kilts’ Season 2 will have Heughan and McTavish exploring New Zealand, notably the Scottish influence that the tiny island country has in its history. Season two will be comparatively shorter, with six half-hour episodes to season one’s eight half-hour episodes.
