I’ll be there for you’ is the theme song of the famous American sitcom series Friends. It was performed by The Rembrandts, which premiered in 1994. The song was written specifically for the show by Michael Skolff and Allee Wills. The song topped the Billboard Top 100 for continuously eight weeks.
In honor of the show’s 25th anniversary, Meghan Trainor released a cover of the song. The song was revealed at the same time when the Empire State Building lit up with red, yellow and blue of the Friends logo. Since the time of its official upload on YouTube, the song has got over a million views. Fans are in love with the song.
Warner Brothers approached Trainor to cover the theme song around the 25th anniversary of the show. Trainor told Rolling Stones that she could not believe the thought of herself singing the cover. She said that she is a great fan of the show and has seen every episode. This opportunity means a lot to her.
The comment section on YouTube was flooded with positive reviews. Everybody liked Meghan’s voice. They were mesmerized by her voice. Some even suggested that this could be the new theme song if Friends ever get a reboot.
