The Disney Train and Station Lego set are going to be available from September 1, Sunday for all. However, Lego VIP members can get it from August 21, Monday. The set will comprise of 2,925 pieces, and a full loop of track. There will also be five mini-figures of an Engineer Mickey, Minnie Mouse in a cloth skirt, Conductors Chip ‘n Dale, and for the first time a LEGO mini-figure form of Goofy. The set will include 16 curved pieces and four straight pieces of track. This marks the #71044 game.
The LEGO Disney Train replicates the steam railroad train and also includes tender, passenger car, and a luxurious parlor car, known to Disneyland fans as the Lilly Belle. The builders can control the train via a downloadable app, which will make the train move backward, forward with realistic sound effects. The LEGO Disney Train will operate on batteries which are not included in the set. Tender contains a LEGO Powered Up 88009 Hub, and a LEGO Powered Up 88011 Train Motor.
The train cars are connected via magnetic couplings. The panels of the parlor can be opened to an interior with table, armchairs, teapot, and cup. Inside the train station, there is an array of intricate brick-built furnishings, including draped windows, wall clock, and a ceiling chandelier. The locomotive has a sizeable red fender, red wheels with working coupling rods, a big smokestack and a driver’s cab.
Station exterior of the set has a detailed façade with balcony, clock, and two flagged towers. Station interior has a ticket counter and a café corner. The tower section holds a LEGO surprise – a tiny mini-figure scale version of the 2016 Disney Castle set’s packaging. The LEGO Disney Train and Station set will be sold in the United States for $329.99.
