The newest trailer for “Last Christmas” has Emilia Clarke singing her heart out the song Last Christmas. The Christmas flick is an upcoming British American romantic comedy, starring the Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, and Michelle Yeoh. The 3 minutes 11 seconds trailer has Clarke as her Kate singing the acapella rendition of the 1984 Wham! Holiday classic that inspired the film name. The film follows the story of Kate (Emilia Clarke) who is a young woman known to make bad decisions. Kate works as Santa’s elf for a department store. It seems in the trailer that Kate has been experiencing a medical emergency since a year earlier. She then meets Tom (Henry Golding) after work and her life changes. Since the first trailer, the character of Henry Golding has attracted wild fan theories and assumptions. Tom is not seen interreacting with anyone else, and this has led many to think he is Kate’s hallucination or a ghost. The most popular theory, however, is that Tom is the spirit of the heart donor who gave Kate a new organ, connecting the possibility with the lyrics of the song and posing an explanation of the medical crisis that Kate suffers from. Director Paul Feig, however, has refuted the fan theories and said the film plotline is different. He commented that it is a romantic comedy and not a Matrix movie like the fans are treating it. He said, “It is just a lovely Christmas movie!”The movie is being directed by Paul Feig, who is known for directing films like Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy, Ghostbusters. The plotline and story of the movie have been written by Bryony Kimmings and Emma Thompson and her husband, Greg Wise. Emma Thompson is also one of the producers of the movie.
The movie is set to release on 8th November 2019 in the United States and 15th November 2019 in the United Kingdom.
