‘Knock at the Cabin’ Trailer for M. Night Shyamalan Horror Arrives, Dave Bautista Leads The Madness

Don’t open the door no matter what

The first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin has been released by Universal. The horror mystery has been adapted from Paul Tremblay’s best-seller The Cabin at the End of the World. The trailer is all sorts of strange and creepy. Let’s read in detail below.

The Knock at the Cabin trailer introduces us to the titular wooden cabin, located close to a forest and disconnected from the rest of the world. We see two fathers, Andrew (Jonathan Groff) and Eric (Ben Aldridge) heading off to this discreet getaway with their daughter Wen (Kristen Cui). We see them splashing around in the clear lake near the cabin, soaking all their troubles away. But then came trouble on two legs.

A group of strangers, named Leonard (Dave Bautista), Sabrina (Abby Quinn), Adriane (Nikki Amuka-Bird), and Redmond (Rupert Grint), arrive. They start with a knock at the cabin (of course), followed by repeated knocks, then using axes to barge their way in. According to them, the apocalypse is about to happen, and to prevent that, one family member must be killed by the others. They leave it up to the family to decide the victim, a decision that nobody wants to make.

The First Look

From everything we have seen, the trailer for Knock at the Cabin seems to perfectly adapt Tremblay’s book. However, Shyamalan is known to include his own devious twist in anything he makes, so we can bet that things will be wildly different by the end.

But plot twist or not, the story is gripping and nerve-wracking in itself, so we can expect something along the lines of Get Out but with higher stakes.

Knock at the Cabin comes out on February 3, 2023.
