King of the Hill Reboot finally in motion
The revival of the King of the Hill show was first mentioned in 2017, and after delaying for years, the duo is back with the reboot version. The show has a huge fan following, of the Hill family have been demanding its revival since it ended.
The creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge recently announced their new animation company Bandera Entertainment. They are planning to return for the reboot version of the show.
Plot
The King of the Hill show aired on Fox from 1997-2010 and comprised of 13 seasons and 259 episodes. It focuses on the Hill family of Arlen, in set in Texas.The Time magazine named it as one of the top 100 greatest television shows of all time
This animated series follows the life of propane salesman Hank Hill, who lives with his wife Peggy, wannabe comedian son Bobby, and niece Luanne. It focuses on the Hills’ day-to-day-lives exploring themes such as parent-child relationships, friendship, loyalty, and justice. It also focused on the Hill family’s friends such as Dale, Bill and Jeff, Mr. Redcorn, and more.
In a recent interview when asked about the rumours related the revival of the popular show. One of the creators, Daniel did confirm that the revival would feature a time jump.
With the passing away of Brittany Murphy and Tom Petty, who gave voices to Luanne and Lucky respectively, the time jump will be used to explain the character’s absence.
As per reports, there has not been any official announcement and confirmation from Fox Entertainment about the release date. The creators are more excited about their other projects at Bandera, including a new series for Netflix.
