The biggest (and funniest) team-up is about to happen
Ryan Reynolds is a happy man. His long-term goal of working with Hugh Jackman in a Deadpool and Wolverine movie is finally happening. The fans are equally happy, seeing as many have been demanding it since Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman first joined forces, albeit briefly, for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Although the movie was a flop, fans loved the action sequences, and Reynolds had been poking fun about it in previous Deadpool movies as well.
Ryan Reynolds on How It Happened
In a recent interview with Collider, Ryan Reynolds was asked about how Deadpool 3 came to be, and if it was his idea to bring Hugh Jackman. Reynolds started by saying that he’s being given too much credit, and he doesn’t think he’s responsible for Hugh’s return.
He said he always wanted the two to team up, and on his first meeting with Kevin Feige, he pitched an idea. However, it was not possible at the time. But earlier this year, Hugh Jackman got back to him and said he would be interested in doing it one more time. So Ryan once again went back to Feige and convinced him of their plan. He added that the contents of the conversation that Hugh and himself had would be said by Hugh himself on a later date.
About Deadpool 3
Ryan Reynolds did not reveal anything about the movie, and whatever information we got was from Jackman. He said that the movie will feature an angrier and grumpier Wolverine, much more so than in previous performances. This will make for a hilarious contrast to Deadpool’s carefree attitude and vile humor, and audiences will be in for a major treat. Ryan Reynolds, similar to Dwayne Johnson, gives audiences what they want to see, so a brutal fight of them slashing each other up will be expected. The two will be butting heads until they have to team up and fight the big bad of the movie. The antagonist is also kept under wraps.
Deadpool 3 is set to premiere on November 8, 2024.
