A new member is ready to join the Avengers family. The person is reportedly Hailee Steinfeld who has been offered a lead role in the upcoming Hawkeye series for Disney+. According to Variety, finals negotiations and talks are in progress for her to take up the role of Kate Bishop.
Kate Bishop will now take the bow and arrow from the current Hawkeye, Clint Barton, which is being played by Jeremy Renner in the Avengers movie. In the following series, Barton played by Renner, will now be seen training young Bishop to take on his mantel.
Co-starring Renner, ‘Hawkeye’ will revolve around Clint and Kate, with a presumption that the series will end with Kate being the new Hawkeye and thus could crossover in the feature films.
Unlike, Marvel Netflix’s show Daredevil and Marvel ABC shows, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Marvel Disney+ shows will be produced by Kevin Feige’s Marve Studios. This will be an integral part of a cohesive MCU.
Marvel has an eye on Disney+ to present out their Marvel Cinematic Universe Stories to the world. Tom Hiddleston is playing the role of Loki in the six-episode Loki who will come in front of the screen after he disappeared in Avengers: Endgame. And the Elizabeth Olsen/Paul Bettany-fronted WandaVision is being touted as an essential story prequel to the feature film Doctor Strange 2. This makes it quite obvious if Steinfeld is finalized for the role, she will be seen in many crossovers.
If the actress is locked for the role, this will be her second time starring on TV. She is also the lead of an upcoming series named Apple series “Dickinson” where she plays the role of the famous 19th-century poet, Emily Dickinson. Mainly known for her roles on film, the actress had also received an Oscar nomination for her role in the film “True Grit”.
