Popular singer The Weeknd, recently attended the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. Surprisingly, he sported a completely new look at the festival.
The”Starboy” singer was spotted at the Uncut Gems premiere on Monday night, which marks his feature film debut.
He made minute changes to his signature look by getting rid of his full-grown beard and only kept a mustache. Switching up his hairstyle, the singer was practically unrecognizable.
The 29-year-old star wore a navy blue suit that he paired with a classic white button-down and dark brown shoes.
The Weeknd’s co-stars Adam Sandler, Idina Menzel, Julia Fox, and LaKeith Stanfield were also present at the red carpet. The crime drama is directed by brothers Josh and Benny Safdie.
Meanwhile, the “I Feel It Coming” singer’s new look comes after he and Bella Hadid called it quits once more. This is the Grammy winner’s first major red carpet appearance since parting ways with Hadid.
It was reported that “distance” played a part in their decision to call it quits. While Bella is prepping for her fashion week commitments, Abel is working on his music and his forthcoming acting debut.
The Weeknd and Bella Hadid’s relationship
Tesfaye began dating supermodel Bella Hadid at the starting of 2015. They were first seen together in May at Coachella. Later, Hadid appeared in his music video “In the Night” in December.
After that, they also made a red carpet appearance as a couple at the 2016 Grammy Awards. But on November 11, 2016, it was reported that the couple had broken up. The main reason for the relationship’s termination was their conflicting schedules.
Then, Tesfaye started dating Selena Gomez in January 2017. The couple even moved in together in September 2017 in Greenwich Village, New York. However, they broke up in October 2017.
By May 2018, The Weeknd and Hadid began dating again, before calling it quits recently.
