Talking with People at the Farrah Fawcett Foundation’s Tex-Mex Fiesta in Beverly Hills on Friday Melanie Griffith told me that she loves her daughter’s boyfriend. She thinks that they’re an awesome couple. She further added that she adores him, and she also respects the fact that Dakota is very private about her personal life.

The rumors of the duo being together sparked in January 2018 after they had attended a fashion show together. They faced a breakup, as the rumors suggested, in June this year. But after what Melanie Griffith has to say, it is quite evident that both of them are back in full swing.

While Dakota Johnson’s mother has given a green signal to her daughter’s relationship, her father is dicey about the relationship.

When he was asked about it by the Digital Spy, he answered half-jokingly, “Yeah, that’s… uh troubling, isn’t it?” before he added, “No, she’s a big girl, she can handle herself.”

Dakota never talks about her relationship with Martin but had admitted previously that she dating the 42-year-old singer. She told Tatler magazine bluntly that she’s not going to talk about it. But she’s very happy.

The “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress had first dated Matthew Hitt who is the lead vocalist of the Welsh Indie rock band. They dated for about two years and then she started dating Chris Martin in 2017.

Martin was previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow, an American actress. The wedding ceremony had taken place on 5 December 2003 in a quiet ceremony amongst the presence of family and friends. They have a 15-year-old daughter named Apple and a 13-year old son whose name is Moses. The couple announced their separation in March 2014 as a result of “conscious uncoupling.”
