It was only on March 4, 2020 , finally the truth about Jughead’s death was revealed. So here we can see what had happened to Jughead and how did he die. They are all covered in blood, and is holding Jughead’s infamous beanie. But the final member out of the four is missing. This is what indicated the death of Jughead.

But actually Donna had drugged Betty, hit Jughead on head with a rock and finally placed the rock in Betty’s hand. Betty had no idea of what had happened. The iconic beanie had cushioned the blow, and Jughead was left only with a major gash in his head.
While earlier in an interview, when he was talking about the future of the show with Cole did not confirm that his character was dead. But, on the otherhand, he didn’t deny it either.
