Halo TV Series Releases New Trailer Focusing on Supporting Characters

The series comes out on March 24

We are less than two weeks away from the release of Paramount+’s Halo. With that, the series released a second trailer, giving us a closer look at the supporting characters and the expansive universe it takes place in.

The trailer opens with the characters describing a special something, that holds possibilities of changing everything – the mysterious Halo. Special focus was given to Dr. Catherine Halsey (Natascha McElhnone) and Kwan Ha (Yerin Ha). Halsey’s Spartan program has created division between her and her crew, and the discovery of the Halo can further complicate things. Kwan looks to be a young rebel whose life was turned upside down after the Covenants invaded.

Of course, Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber) is also shown, and we got to see a few capabilities of the Spartans. Despite the heavy armor, a Spartan can run as fast as their Warthog vehicle. We also see Master Chief and his team dive bombing off a spaceship and going into unknown territory.

What’s different in this Halo trailer

Making any video game adaptation is a tremendous risk, and the producers know it. Paramount has teamed up with 343 Industries, the game producers, for the series. Kiki Wolfkill, head of transmedia at 343 and an executive producer on the show spoke about this. Wolfkill says that the series will be on the ‘Halo Silver Timeline’ and is different from the core cannon. By doing this, they can protect the core cannon as well as the television story. In conclusion, it’s going to be very different from the games. But we will still get to see humans and Covenants at war, and Master Chief kicking ass.

Halo has already been renewed for a second season, so we can expect a detailed storytelling. Season one arrives on March 24 on Paramount+.
