Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Set Images are Out, Mantis and Drax Spotted

The movie will mark the end of James Gunn’s trilogy

We have received the first photos from the ongoing production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3! Director James Gunn has shifted his focus on his Marvel project after writing and directing Peacemaker for the DCEU. In a couple of set images, we saw Pom Klementieff as Mantis and Dave Bautista as Drax on set. Production began a while ago, but this is the first time we got a look at the cast.

The looks

The actors have covered themselves up pretty well as they walk from their vehicles to the sound stage in Atlanta. Klementieff is see in her Mantis makeup, with the semi-horns. The rest of her look will be completed with CGI as before. Bautista is in his Drax makeup as well. and wore a cape over his getup.

The actor had spoken in the past that he’s getting too old for the part that demands him to be shirtless all the time. But his dreams might be becoming reality as Gunn stated that the movie will mark the end of the original Guardians team.

The story for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is under wraps like any other Marvel project. We won’t be hearing anything about it, or the next set of iconic songs until the very end of this year or next year. We got to hear last year that Maze Runner star Will Poulter has been cast as Adam Warlock, while Peacemaker star Chukwudi Iwuji will appear in an unknown role.

Since the original crew has reached the end of the road, we can expect a death or two. Gunn had done a fine job making the other movies funny, yet heartfelt, and the third movie will amp it up. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will release on May 23, 2023.
