What was he suffering from?

Gaten was suffering from Cleidocranial Dysplasia. In this, people usually have Supernumerary teeth, which are extra teeth that grow in the gums. He had several surgeries to extract these teeth from within his gums. And helped to expose those teeth that should have already grown in considering his age.

Though my expression in this picture may not show it, the surgery was a complete success😂. This was such A big one, it may be the last one I need. Hopefully at least. Those who suffer from Cleidocranial Dysplasia usually have Supernumerary teeth, which are extra teeth that grow in the gums. I’ve had several surgeries to extract these teeth from within my gums and help expose the teeth that should have already grown in considering my age. In this surgery, the team of amazing medical professionals extracted 14 supernumerary teeth and exposed six of my adult teeth. I was under for four hours. My recovery for the past few days has been great and I can’t thank the team that did the surgery enough. Thank you all for your kind wishes and prayers. It means a lot. This genetic disorder affects the bones in the skull, especially areas nearby the mouth, which may result in teeth that are in addition to the regular number of teeth. Although supernumerary teeth can appear anywhere in the mouth, they are usually among the permanent teeth. Gaten has never been shy about his condition. He even discussed about it on The Jonathan Ross show in 2016.

He told on the show he just wants to raise awareness about it. People should know that it is not something that you should be afraid of showing. He later appeared on BBC 5 Live and explained why he gets rejected from certain jobs.
