The additional cast of Garfield announced!
Brett Goldstein, a Ted Lasso Award-winning actor, and Bowen Yang, the Saturday Night Live breakout, are among those who have joined the Garfield film by Alcon Entertainment as a voice cast of animated characters recently.
Directed by Marc Dindal and produced by Columbia Pictures, Alcon Entertainment, for their first animated feature, and DNEG Animation (which most recently worked on the animated feature Ron Goes Wrong, will be animating and producing the movie), and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, Garfield stars Chris Pratt as the voice of Garfield, along with voices from Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, and Samuel L. Jackson.
At the moment, it is not known exactly who Brett Goldstein and Bowen Yang are playing in the next Garfield film.
Chris Pratt will star as the lasagna-loving cat, while Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Waddingham, Cecily Strong, and Ving Rhames will also lend their voices to The Garfield Movie animated feature.
Storyline
Jim Davis, a lasagna-loving cat, first appeared in comics in 1978 as a lazy orange cat that frequently caused trouble for Jon Arbuckle, his human owner, and the family’s beloved dog, Odie. Garfield, which has been included in 41 newspapers, is currently held as the world’s most syndicated comic book. Only time will tell whether or not Pratt will ever be able to fully flesh out Garfield. Fresh off of bombshell news that Pratt would be voice acting for Mario in an animated movie set to be released by Super Mario Bros., a Hollywood Reporter has reported that Chris Pratt would also be voicing in an upcoming animated film featuring the famed cat.
The film is set to come out in 2024 and all we can do right now is be calm and wait for how the movie will be developed in visualization.
