A recent data leak confirms that dinosaurs are coming to the game, along with tameable wolves, chickens and wild boars
You would’ve already seen the heaps of dinosaur bones and eggs in the season 6 map update for Fortnite. The game looks to be the first battle royale that’s incorporating the extinct creatures, or any animals for that matter. A recent leak by data miners have given this theory a solid backing, after a string in the game’s code referred to a “wild raptor” being found.
The new updates
Fortnite took the gaming world by storm when it came out in 2017, and is now one of the biggest and most played games out there. The game added a unique twist to the battle royale genre by letting players craft building structures by mining and collecting materials. The game also brought in characters from other franchises and hosted virtual concerts and movie screenings over the past 3 years.
As per some Twitter twitter users, wild raptors, wolves and boars have been added to the mix. The word “dino” is in many of the game’s files. The wolves and boars can be killed by players, and be used to kill others as well. Chickens are also available to tame and hunt. The gameplay is going to get a whole lot more crazier.
Release date
Currently it’s not clear about when the dinosaurs will be making their way to the map, but if this data leak is to be believed, the ancient reptiles will ve added to the current season of the game. Season six just began on Thursday, so there’s plenty of time to add new features for the developers. We will just have to wait patiently for an official announcement trailer.
