First ‘Halloween Ends’ Trailer Reactions Revealed at CinemaCon, Viewers Call it Brutal and Intense

The movie will also be the finale in the Halloween trilogy

Many horror franchises exist in the film industry, but Halloween is definitely one that has remained solid. The first movie came out in 1978, with Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) facing off against the supernatural murderer Michael Myers. Myers was shown in a few spin-offs after that, but they never really took off. But then in 2018, the franchise got reinvented, but this time as a direct sequel to the original. The movie showed Michael and Laurie facing off after 40 years.

We got to see Halloween Kills last year. And while it did not favor the critics, fans enjoyed it, and are now waiting for the finale – Halloween Ends.

Universal Studios held their panel at CinemaCon this Wednesday, and attendees got to see the trailer for Halloween Ends. Among the audience were news website agents who said that the trailer was legitimately terrifying. Others called it “scream-heavy” and “brutal.”

Curtis herself was in attendance and presented the trailer. She said that the movie is Laurie’s last stand against Michael Myers and said the film will not pull any punches. The trailer initially showed footage across all three movies released until now. But in the final scene, we see Michael and Laurie face off. But it is Laurie who has the element of surprise.

The finale will end with either Michael, or Laurie, or both of them, dying. That may be why the movie is the finale of the main series.

Halloween Ends hits theatres on October 14, 2022.
