Black Panther released in 2018, and was a major success. Due to the box office records, Marvel Studios immediately green-lit a sequel with director Ryan Coogler on board again. However, tragedy struck when lead star Chadwick Boseman passed away after secretly battling colon cancer for four years. The movie pushed back production and started devising new ways to tell a story without King T’Challa. Marvel still decided to go ahead with the movie so as to honor Boseman.

Aside from Gurira, Nyong’O and Wright, the movie also stars Winston Duke as M’baku. Dominique Thorne has been cast as Riri Williams, aka Ironheart. Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta got cast in an unknown role. Many believe that it is for the role of Namor, the king of Atlantis. The story might be about Atlantis going to war against Wakanda.

As the footage suggests, Okoye, Nakia, and Shuri will be the main characters. The three characters will be serving as army generals, and will lead them to protect their country. In fact, Shuri is rumored to be the next ruler of Wakanda with a new Black Panther suit. It has happened in the comics, so won’t be a surprise.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will arrive on November 2022, and the trailer can be expected real soon.
