Get ready to slay some Deadites this May

Evil Dead: The Game got quite the delay from its February release date, and the new date is quite the right fit.

Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games has announced that the new release date will be on May 13, 2022. What’s special about May 13? It just so happens to be a Friday, and gives the whole process some spooky character.

A groovy experience

However, the reason for the delay is due to technical reasons, as the developers explained via Twitter. They want to make sure the game is worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, and that it had to be “groovy as hell.” The delay was much needed for them to deliver the best possible experience. It has to go just right so that players’ boomsticks will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites starting from Friday the 13th. They also thanked fans for their patience and understanding.

What’s more, there will be more information arriving in February, along with a brand-new trailer. Pre-order information will also be shared.

About the game

Evil Dead: The Game was announced at the Game Awards 2020. It created a lot of excitement due to the return of Bruce Campbell as the franchise’s hero, Ash Williams. The game offers both PVP and co-op gameplay, and players can fight as both good and evil.

You get to play as Ash or his friends, or as the powerful Kandarian Demon, who can hunt the good guys, and also possess Deadites, the environment, or any of the good guys themselves.

The game offers a wide range of weapons, ranging from knives, to shotguns, to chainsaws. It also includes a ton of fan service, such as the iconic cabin in the woods as a map.
