In 2016 the twice Academy Award nominated series came back with Kung Fu Panda 3. The movies appealed to the audience, being praised for its voice acting and development of the characters and storyline. The fourth installment was heard to be released in 2018. Now, the date might have been shifted to somewhere in 2020.

Since the franchise doesn’t follow any definite pattern it is difficult to say a specific release date. Jeffrey Katzenberg, the CEO of DreamWorks, stated that the series could contain six movies. This might indicate the possibility of the release of the fourth Kung Fu Panda movie.
