Brie Larson will be seen as Captain Marvel next year
Brie Larson is gearing up for her second solo movie as Captain Marvel in The Marvels, alongside WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris and Ms. Marvel‘s Iman Vellani. Of all the actors cast in the MCU, perhaps Larson was the one who was targeted most by trolls for her performance as the powerful superhero. The actor is very aware of that as well. Let’s read what happened below.
Brie Larson And Her Post
The Marvels was among the announcements made at the 2022 D23 Fan Expo, and Brie Larson had given some intriguing comments on her future in the MCU after the 2023 movie. Following her appearance at D23, the actor took to social media to address some trolls. She posted two pictures of herself alongside Parris, Vellani, and director Nia DaCosta at the expo and captioned it “trolls combust” acknowledging those who may come online to critique the photos. The first photo had the posing casually, while the second one had Larson giving an intense stare at the camera.
Most of the criticism that Brie Larson received was due to the fact that her character is arrogant and had no qualities of a hero. In the interviews promoting Avengers: Endgame, Larson did not give a positive image of herself and came across as argumentative. There is no doubt that there will be changes made to her character while working in a team.
Captain Marvel’s Future
This was a reply that stated that she won’t be leaving the MCU after The Marvels. Since Captain Marvel is the most powerful character in the MCU, it would make sense for her to reappear in solo projects or in the upcoming Avengers movies.
Watch Brie Larson and the others in theatres with The Marvels on July 28.
