Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Official Trailer Teases An Underwater Invasion

Get ready for Namor, ladies and gentlemen

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever released its official trailer. The movie remains as one of the most anticipated projects from the MCU, partly because of the legacy left behind by Chadwick Boseman, and the other half being the lukewarm responses to the last two movies. The first movie made a brilliant $1.3 billion at the box office, and the sequel is looking to top that.

The trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever showed us Tenoch Huerta’s Namor up close. The character is one of the reasons for conflict in this movie, if not the main source. Namor and his forces have had a history with the Wakandans, and they have come to start a war, likely because of King T’Challa’s death. The late king’s (and actor) presence can be seen throughout the movie, with his family and the Dora Milaje grieving. The underwater world chooses an apt time to wage war.

The movie will see the return of Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett, along with Dominique Thorne, who will be playing Riri Williams, aka, Ironheart.

Seeing as King T’Challa’s role was so important, we expected to see a new actor getting the part. Even Chadwick Boseman wanted the role to go to another actor. However, Marvel Studios and director Ryan Coogler have decided to honor the actor’s legacy and pass the mantle of Black Panther to his sister Shuri (Wright). Shuri’s panther suit was also revealed, dropping from a great height and landing silently on the snow.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will release on November 11. Check out the trailer below.
