Recently, Marvel Cinematic Universe (or, MCU) announced nor 1, neither 2, but ten titles of the movies which are set to be part of its Phase 4. The movies will be released in 2020 and 2021, over around six months. The tentative dates are reported to be from May 1, 2020, to November 5, 2021.
During the release of its Phase 4 movies’ titles, MCU also talked about the sequels of ‘Black Panther’, ‘Captain Marvel’, and ‘Guardian of the Galaxy’. These movies are still in process and hence, will not be a part of Phase 4. Among these, ‘Black Panther 2’ might be one of the 1sts of Phase 5. Though this particular news has not been confirmed by any officials of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some guesses can be drawn based upon the recent interviews of Martin Freeman. The actor who portrayed the character of Everett Ross, a CIA agent in ‘Black Panther’, when asked about the sequel of the movie, he replied, “The last I heard, we will not be doing it next year. So, it might be 2021 when we are making the next Black Panther. That is all I know.”
‘Black Panther’, which had hit the screens on February 16, 2018, was a massive hit. The film starred Chadwick Aaron Boseman as the main lead and portraying the character of T’Challa (Black Panther), the rightful king of Wakanda.
The president of MCU, Kevin Feige after the Comic-Con event claimed that every title of the movies which are going to get included for Phase 4 had been announced. This indicates that the ones mentioned above and some others, including some untitled ones and sequels of ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ are kept stored for Phase 5. Some of the dates were mentioned at the event for which no releases have been scheduled. The dates are February 8, 2022; May 6, 2022; and July 29, 2022.
