In a new WB Studio tour, we saw Affleck filming scenes for ‘Aquaman 2’
Batfleck is back!
The DCEU’s Batman Ben Affleck has returned once again to play the billionaire playboy, this time for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The news was shared by lead star Jason Momoa, who did a vlog for his Instagram fans, along with sharing a couple of photos. Let’s read in detail below.
Ben Affleck Returns
Momoa excitedly captioned the picture “REUNITED bruce and arthur,” before adding that he loves and misses having Ben Affleck around. The movie is currently undergoing reshoots in the WB lot and perhaps Affleck’s involvement was an idea that was hatched later, seeing how WB pushed the releases of most DC movies.
Affleck began his tenure as the DCEU’s Batman with Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. His involvement has been bumpy just like Henry Cavill’s as Superman, as we never really know if the stars have a fixed spot in the upcoming roster of movies. But seeing him return holds a lot of promise.
About Aquaman 2
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will take the king of Atlantis to the titular Lost Kingdom, a portion of Atlantis that had been lost to history since the people started living underwater. Seeing as the king himself has gone to investigate, the stakes can be high and might require him to ask help from Batman, who has a wide array of intelligence.
Apart from Ben Affleck, the movie will have Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Patrick Wilson, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, and Amber Heard, whose future is an interesting topic. James Wan returns as director, with a story co-written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Momoa.
Fans will have to wait patiently to see Ben Affleck return in the movie which will release worldwide on March 17, 2023, before he makes his possibly final appearance in The Flash.
