After 3 Decades, Kiefer Sutherland Finally Reveals About A Deleted Scene Of The Lost Boys, That Was Too Violent To Be Added In The Film

No one could deny the fact that the ’80s era was one of the best era for films, one of which was the 1987 film The Lost Boys directed by Joel Schumacher. A vampire classic with stars like Corey Haim, Jason Patric, Dianna Wiest, Jami Gertz, Alex Winter along with 18-yea-old Keifer Sutherland.

Possessed with umpteen talents the 52-year-old actor, Keifer Sutherland after three decades opened up about one of his favorite scenes which could not make it in the film because it was too horrific and violent to be on the screen.

There was a scene that actually didn’t make the movie. Sutherland was very excited about it because it was so violent that he couldn’t believe that we were doing it.

He played antagonist, David Power, the head of the vampier’s gang. Talking about the movie’s deleted scene Sutherland said, in the scene, he has eaten a bald man’s head who was standing on the beach. His false bald head looks like a cake to him which he had to eat and smile like a kid having a big cake all for himself. That was ‘frightening’ and ‘scary’ for him.

“I ate the whole back of his head off and blood just went everywhere.” Said, Sutherland.

Talking about his role as David in the film he revealed that his look was inspired by Billy Idol, punk-star of 1980. Praising the movie soundtrack, which is even known today for its edgy tracks. He said that the soundtrack was innovative and it teaches the industry that music act as a marketing partner and helps in promoting the film.

Keifer Sutherland will next be seen in the remake of The Fugitive, in the role of detective, Clay Bryce, the series will be out in July.
