It’s been two years since the first season released, and how long will we have to wait for season 2?
A Discovery Of Witches is the TV adaptation of the All Souls trilogy book series by Deborah Harkness. If all goes well, a third season would happen based on the third book as well, called The Book of Life.

Season two kicked off production in mid 2019 and ended by January this year. It’s expected to release in the latter half of 2020 if it’s not affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Many shows and movies had to be pushed to other dates due to it.
Lead actors Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode will be returning as Diana Bishop, the half witch and Matthew Clairmont, the vampire.

Season 1 was a great success and became Sky One’s most popular drama series from 2018. It garnered 2 million viewers and got immediately renewed for the following seasons.
The second season will be based on the second novel in the trilogy called Shadow of Night. It’s going to be just as entertaining as season one, and is going to be directed Juan Carlos, Alice Troughton, and Sarah Walker. It will be produced by Bad Wolf and Sky Productions. UK viewers can see the show on Sky One and NOW TV when the show starts airing. For those on the US, season one aired in Sundance Now and Shudder, so season two is expected to stream there as well.

Even though the production has wrapped up, the trailer will be released only when the show gets an official release date. For those who are impatient about the show’s release, please refer to the novels as they are every bit as brilliant as the show.
