The new iPhones promise to be powerful and affordable

Apple launched its latest iPhones, the 12 and 12 mini, in October 13 and is now available next to the more pricey iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The newbies are suitable for anyone who doesn’t have much concern for the extra camera features that Pro offers.

The iPhone 12 is 6.1 inches, while the iPhone 12 mini is 5.4 inches, making it the smallest iPhone to be released since the 2016 iPhone SE. The two phones vary only in screen size and battery size, and are very identical when it comes to performance. The iPhone 12 mini is better suited for those who prefer to use a phone with one hand.

All the iPhones that had been released this year comes with Super Retina XDR OLED displays which is a new feature, along with edge-to-edge designs, except for the Face ID notch and small bezels on the edge. The display quality is same on every model, including the Pro models.

The iPhone 12 mini has a resolution of 2430 x 1080 with 476 pixels per inch and the iPhone 12 has a resolution of 2532 x 1170 with 460 pixels per inch. Both displays give HDR support with 1200 nits peak brightness, Wide Color for vivid, true-to-life colours, and True Tone for matching the color temperature in the display to the ambient lighting to give a more natural look.

Apple has changed the design for the iPhone 12 series and has replaced the round edges with flat ones, which had been based off the iPad Pro’s design. It has a new Ceramic Shield cover that replaces the standard glass cover. Apple claims that it offers 4x better drop performance. The back continues to be of glass, and ever iPhone 12 model offers IP68 water and dust resistance as well.
