Announcement Of The Military Enlistment Date
Wonpil of the Day 6 has publicly announced that in the coming month he will be enlisting for the Navy department.
On V Live broadcast held by Wonpil on 23rd of February 2022, he shared about his solo debut. Further, he disclosed his enlistment news dated on 28th of March 2022.
Wonpil’s Speech On Broadcast
In that broadcast, Wonpil said that Sungjin and Dowoon had already enlisted themselves and due to this he wanted an early enlistment too. Further, he disclosed that he would be heading towards the Navy department, since it was the fastest available choice for him.
Later, he could not resist and he broke down in the middle of his speech. He was sad because he knew that The Days (fans) would not be able to meet him. Thereafter, in that same tone, he said that the time will pass quickly and he will return.
On a concerning note, he said that after getting discharged, each member of the band will reunite with a happy face. Further, they will host concerts as they had during the pandemic period.
Why Navy?
He said that he thinks people will be surprised from his decision. Further, he said that he chose Navy because he wanted to match timings of Military service with his other members of Day 6.
He continued saying, Navy department is for 20 months, 2 months longer than the other branch. To fulfil his wish to enlist himself early, he ends up choosing Navy.
At the end, he requested all his fans to stay and support them as they used to. Further, he said that they will return soon and he wanted all his fans welcoming them with the same energy.
