Life and Career
Sinclair was born on July 18, 1967, in Alameda County, California. He grew up with his mother, stepfather and fraternal twin brother Paul. His mother, Delora Sherleen Vincent is an astrologer and is of English, German, and Scottish descent. He’s never known his father.

Diesel did his stage debut at the age of seven in a children’s play, and was part of theatre groups throughout his childhood and teen years. His first role in a movie was an uncredited appearance in 1990’s Awakenings. Later, in 1994, he wrote, produced, directed, and acted in a short film called Multi-Facial which showed the journey of a struggling multiracial actor and his auditions. It was semi-autobiographical and was chosen to screen at the Cannes Film Festival in 1995.

Later, he started earning more recognition in soon to be franchises like Fast and the Furious, Riddick, and the XXX series. He also voiced the character Groot in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s sequel and the final Avengers films. He has currently signed up for an unknown role in James Cameron’s Avatar 2 and Avatar 3.
