We will see a very different Peter Parker after the Jon Watts trilogy wraps up
Spider-Man: No Way Home lead Tom Holland gave a tease about his character’s future in the MCU. Holland shared that the third movie will be the end of the Homecoming trilogy. Spider-Man’s entry into the MCU was one of the biggest ever, with 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. He then returned in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame along with 2 solo entries. But his biggest moment will be his third solo movie.
About Far From Home
Spider-Man: Far From Home will release in theatres on December 17, and picks up after Far From Home. Peter’s identity is now known to the world, so he asks Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help. As seen in the trailer, the plan goes south and a vast Multiverse opens up.
Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Marisa Tomei returns in the third movie as well. The true surprise was of course, Alfred Molina’s big return as Doctor Octopus. He will be joined by Jamie Foxx as Electro, and Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin. The rest of the cast is unknown at this point, but we might see them in another trailer.
In a recent chat with EW, Holland gave some insight on the movie. He admitted that the franchise has reached its end with the new movie. He also added that if they get to reprise their roles, they will play very different characters. They will try to build something different after this and change the tone of the movies.
No Way Home is the most talked-about MCU movie since Molina’s arrival. This led to rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will return to play their versions of Spider-Man as well. We just have two months left to wait, until we witness the magic.
