Dawson and Star had always stirred up controversies for their own benefit and are currently facing the internet’s wrath
YouTubers Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star had been collaborating since August 2018, and their videos have gathered around 50 million views. They even launched their own beauty line called the Shane X Jeffree Conspiracy Collection.

So what happened?
Dawson found himself in hot water after an old video of him surfaced which highlighted racist, and pedophile mannerisms against Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s daughter Willow Smith. Jada and son Jaden have publicly condemned his actions which has now caused him and Star to lose followers, friends, and even some business deals. But with the content they have been putting up, this fall seemed inevitable.

If you take a look at Dawson’s history, you can see that he had made many offensive cultural stereotypes, including a black character named Shaynaynay and a Mexican character called Guadalupe. This was during the 2008-2010 time frame and helped him gain notoriety. Even blackface was present in some of his content.
He also did videos on internet conspiracy theories, which in turn caused more controversy. One such theory was that Chuck E. Cheese gave customers leftover pieces of pizza. He showed how some slices didn’t fit in the whole pie and spoke about how they thought they could get away with it. Chuck E. Cheese denied the allegations.
It was also known that after after Dawson teamed up with Star, they started a series called Dramageddon 2.0 in which they attacked many other known figures in the online beauty community, including James Charles.
But news is that following his video of Willow Smith popping up, Star is thinking of cutting all ties as Shane by all means have lost his career and this can very well be his end. But he has not made an official comment about it, but netizens are expecting him to do so soon.
